Default Dam. vs. Monstertype mods for Dagger, Scythe, Spear

I know they exist for Sword, Axe, Hammer, Bow and Staff.
But i've come to doubt they exist for Dagger, Scythe and Spear.

Have anybody seen them. Wiki claims they exist, but I have never had a weapon with one on it drop or ever seen one for sale here on Guru.

I see people posting WTB's for them all the time,- but have yet to see any of them answered.

Thanks in advance for any answers with proof either way!

I dont know what you mean?

You probably mean: 20% Damage Vs. Monster (20% chance) inscriptions?

I've never seen that one ...

But Wiki says that the exist? Why dont you try out the merchant forums? Or check the auctions?

They do exist, although they don't drop that frequently.

It does say,
Dagger Handle of <Species> slaying
Spear Grip of <Species>slaying
Scythe Grip of <Species>slaying

True Fujin, but that wiki article might just be speculation (ie, people added it because those mods existed for other weapons, so they must have figured they would for the other professions). Keep in mind wiki is maintained and edited by the community. It's not the final word, the game is.

The more I think about it, the more I think I haven't seen one of those mods for a scythe, spear, or dagger. Anybody got a screenshot/real proof?

Actually i mean a suffix weapon upgrade: (Scythe Grip, Spear Grip or Dagger Handle) of ... Slaying - Damage Vs. Monstertype (20% chance)

I have checked the Buy/Sell sections ... a lot. I'm sorta a compulsive trader - haven't been looking for these explicitly until lately, but i just don't remember seeing one for sale - ever!

Thats why i originately stated that Wiki claim they exist! The Wiki is great,- but not without error!

Good question, ive got ones for sword/axe/hammer/bow and staffs.

But I have never seen one for dagger/spear/scythe.

For the most part they are among the rarest of drops as it is, but still you would think somebody would have seen one by this time?

Deathbane are so common you can feed pigs with it - I don't even bother taking them off anymore. Some of the others are pretty uncommon though!

I really think i'm on to something here! Wiki is quite possibly dead wrong on this - but I would really like more proof than "some of the other guys said they hadn't seen any either" before changing it. I have no idea how to go about getting that proof - anybody got any ideas?

Well, this doesn't fully answer your request, but almost does, and poses another question:

I am a hardcore Dagger buyer, I am addicted beyond compare, and in 20 months, I am yet to see any species slaying mods for daggers, so in all honesty, if I haven't got 1 from the ~1000 daggers I've had, there's a 99.9% they don't exist. Nor have I EVER seen any offered to be sold, and i hang in trade areas alot.

So here's my question (if indeed these do not exist):

Why the hell not? =oP

Good question Razorblade! - its might be a blunder in the programming or some wierd consideration we can't figure.

A few more answers like Razorblade's and i change the Wiki on the subject! - almost sure by now!

Yeah, I do believe it needs to be altered. Even if you say "At this stage, there is no known existence of <species> slaying mods for Daggers, Scythes or Spears". That way, if they do exist (extremly unlikely) or are later added (a mild possibility), it can be changed again without saying a definite "No".

Just a though =o)

Excellent suggestion - only I'm very new to Wiki and don't feel like messing up right from the start.

Perhaps someone else with a few more posts on Wiki could do it?

I have as well. In fact just a day or two ago, I believe it was deathbane (vs. undead of course).

I don't still have it though......merchant fodder.

I have spend several hundred hours in the sell forum - and never seen one off these for sale (not to mention never having one drop) - merchant fodder??!!
Hate to have to tell you this, but I think you might have made a bid mistake!

Still looking for the proverbial "smoking gun" people - screenshot please!

Thanks for the link Zodiak, I had forgotten all about that collector and his Charrslaying weapons,- but as HawkofStorms points out: it's not really the proof i'm looking for.

Anybody have one of these slaying mods for Scythe, Spear or Dagger?
(not interested in seeing Charrslaying obviously as Zodiak pointed out where to get those)
Show me ingame or post screenie here please!
